An outdoor site-specific installation for the% Bi-Annual Outdoor Sculpture Invitational Artists in Dialogue with Landscape% for the Adkins Arboretum, Ridgely, MD (Eastern Shores), USA. Children were given a map to mark where they “discovered” the hidden nests in trees, and were then rewarded with a surprise toy at the Visitor’s Center.
The Curators and Artists were interviewed during a walking tour of the exhibition by Michael Buckley, Producer, Writer and Radio Host of Voices of the Chesapeake Bay, for The Sunday Brunch, 103.1 WRNR FM Annapolis/Baltimore/Washington DC, USA. The interview was broadcast on Sunday, July 6, 2008, at 10 a.m
Nesting Ground was one of the works by ten national sculptors featured in the outdoor Sculpture on the Green Bi-Annual Invitational Exhibition in Cashiers, NC, USA, Curated by Wesley Wofford. This exhibition presented the varied styles and mediums of contemporary sculpture. Nesting Ground represented site-specific sculpture.
As the nests were exhibited in the state of Maryland, the Committee of The Art of Caring requested that one nest be donated to The Art of Caring: An Art Acquisition Event and Silent Auction to Benefit the Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children’s Center, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA, April, 2013.
