Created for the Philadelphia Sculptors 2000 exhibit at the Woodmere Art Museum, Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, PA, USA. Subsequently exhibited at The Art Alliance, Philadelphia, PA, USA; the Sculpture Center of the Kouros Gallery (NY, NY) in Ridgefield, CT, USA; Princeton Day School, Princeton, NJ, USA; and in Summit, NJ, USA, with funding provided by S.O.A.P. Dorothy's ruby slippers are magical images from childhood. A sculpture to play in and on, intended to be discovered unexpectedly outdoors in a fairy tale setting of trees and greenery, it is an image of adventure into the world over the rainbow of The Wizard of Oz.
